BATESVILLE — Firefighters are to return to the cafeteria at Lyon College in Batesville where a fire destroyed the building.
Firefighters say there were no injuries as a result of the Tuesday afternoon fire and the cause remains under investigation. Fire crews are to return to the campus Wednesday morning to make sure the blaze doesn't reignite.
The fire started in Edwards Dining Hall about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Area restaurants served dinner to students Tuesday evening and buses were taken to the campus to shuttle students to and from the restaurants.
Lyon is a liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and was founded in 1872. It has about 500 students.
