ROGERS — Rogers High freshman Tiffany Tang has received a first-round bye at the Overall State Tennis Tournament.
The two-day tournament that features all of the state tennis champions begins Wednesday at the Burns Park Tennis Complex in North Little Rock.
Tang will face either Rebecca Herrington of Jonesboro or Emily Young of Ridgefield Christian in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. A win on Wednesday would most likely setup a semifinals matchup with Katelyn Jackson of Pulaski Academy on Thursday morning.
Tang has not lost a match all year and she won the 7A-West Conference and the Class 7A singles championships. Tang has lost just three games this year.
