Barrett, Jackson to speak at LR Touchdown Club

Arkansas Razorback play-by-play analyst Chuck Barrett and commentator Keith Jackson will speak at the weekly meeting of the Little Rock Touchdown Club at noon today at P.A.R.K. in Little Rock.

P.A.R.K. is Jackson’s non-profit youth foundation. It is located on 6915 Geyer Springs Road.

Little Rock Touchdown Club annual membership is $50. Lunch is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Those who do not wish to eat may attend for $10.

UCA women win last at home

Central Arkansas (6-7-3, 2-3-2 Southland) beat Lamar 1-0 in overtime Sunday on senior day in Conway.

Julie Foerster scored the game-winning goal.

Goalkeeper Kelsey Gochnauer broke the program’s single-season record with her sixth shutout.

UALR women lose on road

UALR (6-12-1, 2-7-1 Sun Belt) lost at Denver 3-2 in overtime Sunday.

Freshmen Holly Holland and Adrianna Queen each scored for UALR.

Goalkeeper Jane Picarelli had 11 saves, while the defense allowed 40 shots.

Denver has not lost a conference game this season.

Razorbacks women fall in Florida

Arkansas (5-10-3, 2-6-2 SEC) lost to Florida 3-1 Sunday in Gainesville, Fla.

Ally Atkins scored for Arkansas in the second half to tie the game.

Hendrix women shutout; men tie

Hendrix women (1-10-1, 0-6-1 SCAC) lost to Sewanee (Tenn.) 3-0 Sunday in Sewanee.

Goalkeeper Allison Mosley had 14 saves. Hendrix had one shot on goal.

Hendrix men (5-8, 1-6 SCAC) tied Sewanee 2-2. Connor Silvestri scored both Hendrix goals. He was ejected in the 89th minute after two yellow cards in less than two minutes.

Hendrix loses two

Hendrix (12-23, 3-12 SCAC) lost to DePauw 25-18, 16-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-10 and to Millsaps 30-28, 11-25, 28-26, 19-25, 15-9 Sunday at the SCAC Central vs. East Crossover in Atlanta.

Becca Clancy had a combined 29 kills.

Razorbacks rally in Georgia

Arkansas (10-13, 4-8 SEC) beat Georgia 18-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22 Sunday in Athens, Ga.

Jasmine Norton had a match-high 21 kills. Charmaine Whitmore had a career-high nine blocks.

UALR wins on road

UALR beat Hendrix, Centenary and Austin Colleges on Saturday in Shreveport, La.

UALR won four of five freestyle events, and finished second in the fifth.

Megan Nelson won two events. Holly Myers and Kara Raney also won. FIELD HOCKEY

Hendrix women lose in OT

Hendrix lost to DePauw 3-2 in overtime Sunday in Conway.

Heather Newell and Lexy Byrne each scored for Hendrix. Both goalkeepers combined for 11 saves in overtime.
