TEA Party Forum On May 8

— The Benton County Tea Party Committee will host a U.S. Senate candidate forum from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Riordan Hall, 2 Riordan Drive in Bella Vista.

Republican candidates who have confirmed they will attend are Randy Alexander, 3rd District Rep. John Boozman, R-Rogers, Curtis Coleman, Kim Hendren, Jim Holt and Conrad Reynolds.

Lt. Gov. Bill Halter hasn’t respond to an invitation, and Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., has not indicated if she will attend. Gilbert Baker and Fred Ramey have scheduling conflicts and cannot attend, according to a Tea Party news release.

Admission is free, but a small fee to vote in a straw poll will be collected and a collection will be taken to defray expenses. These fees are voluntary, according to the release.
