LITTLE ROCK — HOT SPOTS1. ARKANSAS RIVER (LITTLE ROCK) Crappie fishing is fair using minnows fished under a slip-cork rig below Murray Lock and Dam. Bass fishing is fair on red crankbaits, and catfishing is fair on skipjack. Bream fishing is slow, but a few are being caught on worms and crickets.
2. ARKANSAS RIVER (PINE BLUFF)
Crappie are biting well on minnows and pink/white jigs. Bass are biting well on bassminnows and spinnerbaits. Catfishing is good on skipjack and night crawlers.
3. LAKE CONWAY The water is stained. Bream
are biting well on crickets fished 20 inches deep.
Crappie are biting well on minnows. Catfishing is
good on trotlines and yo-yos baited with prepared bait. Bass fishing is slow.
4. LAKE ATKINS Fishing picked up last week, with a 7 1/2-pound and a 9 1/2- pound bass being caught.
Crappie are moving up to shallow water. Bream fishing is also picking up.
