It’s just before sunset on a Wednesday night in the Ruby Tuesday restaurant in Fayetteville.
Couples, families and singles occupy the booths. Or are seated at the long bar or around the four tables in the large room. But it’s not the people who interest. Rather it is the eerie blue glow illuminating their faces.
A closer look shows they are all intently texting or chatting on their cell phones, not talking to each other. It’s a sign of our culture, or what’s called culture, in the advanced year of 2010.
What ever happened to conversation?
We’re not sure. We’ll have to google it up.
