Larry Thomas Barrett

OZARK — Larry Thomas Barrett, age 59, of Ozark, Ark., died Monday, July 19, 2010, in Ozark, Ark. He was a retired truck driver, a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean conflict and a member of The Old Country Church in Ozark. He was born June 9, 1951, in Pocahontas, Ark., to Robert Barrett and Juanita Hutcheson Barrett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Bobby, Billy and Jackie Barrett.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at Eastside Assembly of God Church at Highway 72 East and Spring Valley Road in Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor Robert Ward officiating. Graveside service with military honors will follow at 4 p.m. at Cave Springs Cemetery.

Cremation was under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

He is survived by his best friend and caregiver, Donna Durham of Ozark; two daughters, Kimberly Barrett of Decatur and Mindy Cavanagh of Rogers; two sons, Larry Dale “L.D.” Barrett of Grady and Larry Wayne Barrett of Bloomfield, N.M.; five sisters, Wanda Remmer and Hellen Ellison, both of Ozark, Sheila Ward and Teresa Benningfield, both of Bentonville, and Deanna Stratton of Cave Springs; one brother, Roger Dale Barrett of Bentonville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Ida Mae Tush

WATTS, Okla. — Ida Mae Tush, 66, of Watts, Okla., died July 18, 2010, in Siloam Springs. She was born May 2, 1944, in Adair County, Okla., to Joe and Myrtle Ames.

She was a member of the Christian in Action in Twin Oaks, Okla.

Survivors include three sons, Leon Dewayne Tush and Scotty Allen Tush, both of Watts, Okla., and David Lynn Tush of Galena, Kan.; a sister, Inez Anderson of Siloam Springs; and eight grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bell Cemetery in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

Arrangements are by Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

Elden Mullinax

DECATUR — Elden Mullinax, 88, of Decatur died July 19, 2010, at his home. He was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Protein, Mo., to William and Rose Tabor Mullinax.

He was an Army veteran and truck driver.

Survivors include a son, Elden Mullinax of Decatur; four daughters, Charlene Gatlan, Margaret Foster and Barbara Hardin, all of Decatur, and Mary Johnson of Sulphur Springs; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs.

Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.

Roy E. Beutler

ROGERS — Roy E. Beutler, 97, of Rogers, formerly of Ortonville, Minn., died July 16, 2010, at the Legacy Village Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born Feb. 20, 1913, near Nassau, Minn., to William and Martha Oehler Beutler.

He was a farmer, who retired in 1976, and loved playing cards with family members.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Alan Beutler of Ortonville, Minn., and James Beutler of Rogers; a sister; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, S.D.

Burial will be in the Nassau, Minn., Cemetery.

Peggy Williams

ROGERS — Peggy Williams, 73, a resident of Rogers, Ark., and formerly of Anderson, Mo., passed away Monday, July 19, 2010, at her home in Rogers, Ark. Peggy was born in Sylva, N.C., on Feb. 13, 1937, to Ode and Bonnie (Mills) Cope.

She was a member of the Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association and really enjoyed playing bingo, taking care of her flowers, gardening, feeding hummingbirds, watching deer and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Peggy is survived by her domestic partner, John Eastin of the home in Rogers, Ark.; four sons, Donald Cope of Sylva, N.C., Mitch Alexander of Garfield, Ark., David Alexander and wife, Marnee, of Rogers, Ark., James Hilger Jr. of Arkansas; three brothers, Jack Cope and wife, Pauline, of North Carolina, James R. Cope of North Carolina, Dan Cope and wife, Suzie, of North Carolina; five sisters, Irene Mills of North Carolina, Mary Ida of North Carolina, Dorothy Freeman of North Carolina, Sue Felkins of Missouri, Joyce Plemmons of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Johnathan, Christopher; three great-grandchildren, Mya, Kenna, Kyra; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Services for Peggy Williams will be on at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel (3800 W. Walnut, Rogers, AR 72758) with Chaplain Audie Long officiating.

Interment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Ark.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Ark.

Wayne Meigs

DECATUR — Wayne Meigs, age 93, of Decatur, died July 19, 2010, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born in Siloam Springs on Sept. 3, 1916, to the late Tad Marshall and Bessie Lee Steward Meigs.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Decatur and was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.

Survivors include his children, Mary Jane Henderson and husband, Dan, Donna Meigs, Lex Meigs and wife, Marcia, all of Decatur; a sister, Frances Owsley of Aztec, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Meigs; daughters, Barbara Ann Meigs and Shirley Nance; and three brothers, Marshall, Cecil and John Meigs.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday at Decatur United Methodist Church.

Burial with military honors will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the food pantry at Decatur United Methodist Church.
