BREAKS YOUR HEART

Lightning Ridge Studio will host its 11th “Breaks Your Heart Imperfections” art sale and open studio from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 363 Lightning Ridge Road in Eureka Springs. In addition to the seconds, potter Karen Foster will have her smoke-fired pots and small clay hearts on display, as well as new 2010 coffee cups with ribbon handles.

GALLERY RESTRUCTURE

Downtown Fayetteville’s ddp gallery will no longer be keeping regular business hours. The gallery space, which has been showing works by local and national visual artists since October of 2006, will transition from retail sales to art dealing and special events. Gallery owner and longtime area arts advocate Dede Peters will collaborate with regional art groups and nonprofits for special events, like a spring exhibition during the Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere event and a photography exhibit during the Society of Photographic Education SouthCentral region convention in the fall. ART EXPERIENCE 2010

The Walnut Farm Montessori School in Bentonville will be hosting its annual Art Experience fundraiser, this year themed “Go Green ... For Good,” at 6 p.m. March 13 on the ninth floor of the Bentonville Plaza Building.

Various works of art, primarily from local artists, will be for sale in silent and live auctions, as artist collections and in a green expo. Pre-sale tickets are available for $60 per person and include wine and beer, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment. Information: www.walnutfarmartexperience.com.
