FEAT OF THE WEEK: Harris' best game spurs Greenwood

— Greenwood Coach Rick Jones said last month that he believed senior wide receiver/ safety Spencer Harris would be a dominant player this fall.

Harris was a force against Shiloh Christian on Friday night at Smith-Robinson Stadium in Greenwood, earning Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Featof the Week honors after catching 8 passes for 226 yards and 4 touchdowns and recording 8 tackles (1 for loss), 5 assists and 2 pass breakups in a 54-51 victory over the topranked Saints.

"I think overall it had to be the best game he's ever played," Jones said. "You look at what he did on offense and what he did on defense, I don't know how you can say he's done better."

Jones said Harris, 6-3, 180 pounds, played approximately 130 snaps in a ping-pong game that wasn't decided until senior quarterback Tyler Shook ran 3yards for a touchdown with 23 seconds remaining to play.

Shook threw six touchdown passes, including four to Harris (22, 77, 21 and 42 yards).

Harris also helped knock down Shiloh's final pass attempt as time expired.

"Our safety has to fill run gaps, and I enjoy watching him do that because he's really a good tackler," Jones said. "A lot of times, wide receivers don't have the same knack for being as good a tackler as he is. But probably the thing that impresses me the most is when he just takes a short pass and battles for every yard. He'll dive and dart and backtrack - just do whatever he can to advance the ball."At a glance PLAYER Spencer Harris SCHOOL Greenwood CLASS Senior POSITION Wide receiver/safety HEIGHT 6-3 WEIGHT 180 pounds AGAINST SHILOH CHRISTIAN RECEPTIONS 8 RECEIVING YARDS 226 RECEIVING TOUCHDOWNS 4 TACKLES 8 ASSISTS 5 TACKLES FOR LOSS 1 PASS BREAKUPS 2
