New Health Department unit opens
The first appointment in Siloam Springs was scheduled before 8 a.m. Monday.

Maria Zamarripa, a health-services specialist, answered phones and made appointments during the grand opening of the Benton County Health Department's new satellite office in Siloam Springs on Monday.
Shortly before 8 a.m. Monday, as members of the Benton County Health Department gathered outside of the new satellite office here for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a woman walked up and asked the group about scheduling an appointment.
