Bicycle registration available at Arkansas Union

— The University of Arkansas Transit and Parking Department will have bicycle registration available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday on the Arkansas Union Mall.

Bike registration is being held in conjunction with the Bicycle Safety Program sponsored by Intramural and Recreational Sports. Free bicycle assessments will be provided at no charge through the intramural department.

Bicycle registration forms will be available at the registration table or can be printed from the Transit and Parking Web site at parking.uark.edu/Bicycle_Registration_ Form.pdf and completed in advance. Cyclists will need to know the serial number of their bicycle to register. There is no charge for registration. Each bicycle that will be parked on campus must be registered.

Bicycle registration will also be conducted year-round from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Transit and Parking Department in the Administrative Services Building and from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the parking office in the Harmon Avenue Garage. Both these offices are open Monday through Friday.

Bikes may also be registered on the Web at parking.uark.edu/531.php, and permits can be picked up at the Transit and Parking Department or it can be mailed to you.

Bicycle registration isalso available at the Outdoor Connection Center (HPER 102) between noon and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Transit and Parking also has Bulldog U-locks for bicycles and scooters available for purchase. These locks are being sold for $20. Initially they will only be available at the Transit and Parking Department in the Administrative Services Building. In about a month, the locks will also be available in the parking office in the Harmon Avenue Garageand the Outdoor Connection Center.

Campus bicycle regulations are available in Section 3 of the Campus Parking and Traffic Regulations included with the campus parking map. Printed copies of the regulations are available in both parking offices, the Arkansas Union Information Desk, and the lobbies in Hunt Hall Lobby and the Administration Building. They are also available on the Internet at parking.uark.edu/140.php under Section 3.
