Buehling set to perform

— On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and 2, 300 sixth-graders from Old High Middle School in Bentonville will experience a cross-curriculum educational effort sponsored by the Rogers Historical Museum, Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area, the Friends of Hobbs, War Eagle Mill, Northwest Arkansas Community College and the University of Arkansas's Archaeological Survey. The sixth-graders are studying the Reconstruction period following the Civil War.

As part of the larger three-day learning experience, Clarke Buehling, a musician recognized for his insightful interpretation of post-Civil War classic finger-style banjo, will perform two times each day for the three days. Buehling's performances are free and open to the public. He will perform at Historic Van Winkle Hollow at 10:45 a.m. each day and at the War Eagle Mill at 11:45 a.m. each day.
