The ninth annual Paint the Town Red to benefit the American Heart Association will be from 7 p.m. to midnight Jan. 15 at Fayetteville Town Center. The evening will feature a silent auction, food from area restaurants, wine, beer and music from Boom Kinetic. Tickets for the “trendy” attire event are $75.

The 14th annual Recommitment Banquet will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at Fayetteville Town Center. Martin Luther Kingscholarships will be awarded and the featured speaker will be Marlen D.

Scrabble Wars Literacy Council of Benton County
The Literacy Council of Benton County will host its third annual Scrabble Wars fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m.
Jan. 23 at Doubletree Guest Suites in Bentonville. Tickets are $40. Sponsorships are available from $1,000 to $5,000.
