Personal space

Where I live: I live in Hillcrest near Knoop Park and I have three children, Paul, 16, Jack, 14, and Hank, 12, plus a rescue cat named Leroi.

Occupation: I am an attorney with the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Administration.

My favorite space: Sitting in my vintage dentist chair in my bedroom.

Why? The light in this room is spectacular. It feels like a treehouse. In the summertime when the trees are full of leaves, the light coming into the room is a soft green and I feel like I’m outside. In the fall when the leaves turn, the room is filled with a golden hue and it’s especially beautiful in the morning.

I also pursue two of my new goals in this space, which are to learn how to draw and to play the guitar. I like sketching faces and giving them to friends as gifts. When I was akid I wanted to learn how to play the guitar and got distracted. Now I’m learning to play along with my youngest son.

If I could do one thing to improve this space, I would: Like to have more closet room.
