PUBLIC VIEWPOINT Tone Down The Rhetoric

Iwish to comment on the state of our nation. In light of the tragedy in Tucson, it seems to me that it would be a good idea to examine what causes people to behave in such a terrible way. Just because this country has freedom of speech, thank God, doesn’t mean that certain people should exercise that right. I am speaking of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, with her people in the crosshairs. These folks are taking their rights to the extreme as they spew their vicious opinions and bile.

Fox News also has to take some of the blame. The FederalCommunications Commission has stated that Fox News is NOT a news network, but an entertainment venue. What positive action is accomplished by constantly bashing the president and his policies. At least the president is trying to get the country back on track.

There will always be dissatisfied, mentally challenged people who are willing to listen to blowhards who love the sound of their own voices.

These people - Limbaugh, Beck, Palin - are responsible for their words and their opinions. I realize that these folks are laughing all the way to the bank. They have alsohad the audacity to bring God into the mix. If they had ever read the word of God, they would know that this is not his way of doing things.

God is love and these are not the actions brought about by love.

Wake up people, we are allowing, once again, the minority to have control. If the majority of Godfearing people would refuse to give credence to the blabbermouths of this country, perhaps this country could be saved. Finally, read your history. A country that turns its back on God is doomed to fail.
