Artist Amelia Briggs says childhood cartoons were influential to her and made an impact on what she was interested in creating visually. Briggs is the artist behind “Pony Gate,” on display through the end of November at Famous Hardware, 113 W. Emma Ave. in Springdale. An artist talk will take place at 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at 214 S. Main St. with a public reception at 7 p.m. at Famous Hardware. Admission is free. Information: downtownspringdale.org.
