Paul Michael Severino

Paul Michael Severino, age 67, of West Fork, Ark., passed away on May 29, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 9, 1955, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Paul Joseph Severino and Rose Severino. Paul graduated from Sunnyvale High School and attended college at San Francisco State University. He married Patty Burge on October 12, 1978, in San Francisco. Paul had a long career in sales of industrial chemicals for many companies. He was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rose Severino. He is survived by his wife, Patty; three sons, Mark Thomas Severino and wife Suzanne Snow Severino of Pittsburgh, Pa., James Paul Severino of Fayetteville, Ark., and Daniel Robert Severino of St. Paul, Minn.; grandchildren, Sam, Mia, and Francesca; brother, Joseph Severino of San Diego, Calif.; and sister, Joanne Keohane of Morgan Hill, Calif. Paul loved his family, God and his church, was proud of his children, and doted on his pets and grandchildren. He was instantly memorable to all he met, easily making fast friendships with countless people over the decades, and maintaining deep, lifelong friendships with a select few. He connected instantly, disarming people with a warm (perhaps groan-inducing) joke, and instantly relating to them. He had a salesman's gift for connection, but borne out of genuine interest and compassion. Paul was a curious, lifelong learner, who loved to learn about life, history, and universal truths. Known as "Mike" to many who were close, he enjoyed a myriad of interests over his life, including cars and driving, wordplay and storytelling, years of playing and watching baseball, a wide range of music and even working with blues and rock musicians, cooking up healthy and delicious culinary creations, spoiling his pets and farm friends rotten, and boisterous family gatherings. Paul left a lasting impression as a man of good humor, warmth, and compassion, Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
