Geraldine (Jerry) Rebecca Gallamore passed away on January 22, 2023 in Fayetteville, Ark.. Jerry was born on February 20, 1941 in Goose Creek (Baytown), Texas, to parents Josephine Sullivan and Roy William Lawrence. She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, and was a proud member of the Lee Brigadiers.
After high school, she attended Southwest Texas State College (now Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas, where she earned a degree in English. She later went on to receive a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas.
Jerry's passion was being a high school English teacher. She taught at several schools in Arkansas and Texas including San Marcos (Texas) High School, Deer Park (Texas) High School, Elkins (Arkansas) High School, and the Cypress-Fairbanks School district in Houston. After retiring, she served as church librarian for Cypress United Methodist Church in Cypress, Texas.
She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Ray King of Rockport, Texas; her eldest daughter, Stacy Tobin Keenan, husband James, and grandchildren James Patrick, John Mitchell and Kristina Josephine. She is also survived by her younger daughter, Susan Tobin, and former husband, Patrick Joseph Tobin, all of Fayetteville, Ark. Also surviving is one nephew, Phillip (and Betty) Benskin of Baytown, Texas.
Jerry was preceded in death by late husband, Fred Gallamore of Houston, Texas.
