Jerry Lee Young, age 85, of Rogers, Ark., passed from this life on September 22, 2021 in Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark., surrounded by his family. Jerry Young was born July 7, 1936 in Oklahoma City to Damon Price Young and Florine Stella Milam Young. Jerry Young is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anita Louise Young; his children, Melissa Peck and husband, Patrick, of Springdale, Ark., Jimmy Young and wife, Mary, of Edmond, Okla., and Johnathan Young of Rogers, Ark.; and his beloved grand-dog, Buddy. Jerry and Anita's grandchildren are Amy Russell of Bentonville, Ark., Jeremy Peck of Springdale, Ark., Mat Peck and wife, Jessica, of Austin, Texas, Molly Carroll and husband, James, of Tulsa, Okla., and Joshua Young of Austin, Texas. Mr. Young has six great-grandchildren, Cameron and Ashton Russell, Weiland Scheerer, Miles Luhn-Peck, and Mack and Rowan Carroll. Jerry is also survived by one sister, Janis Barnhill, and husband, John, of Gatesville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joe Young, and James Young. Jerry Young served in the Korean Conflict from 1955-1958 in the United States Army. He was an active member of Bentonville Church of Christ and Southside Church of Christ in Rogers, Ark. He served the community as a pharmacist for over 50 years, he was a first responder, a member of the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce president, and enjoyed performing in the Greater Ozarks Chapter Barbershop Harmony Society, and traveling with his friends and family.
