Jerry Phillip Carter

Jerry Phillip Carter, age 58, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in Fayetteville. He was born August 19, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas, to David Smith Carter and Judith Ann Raines Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Barie Carter; brother-in-law, Trent Trumbo; and a great nephew, Trevor Trumbo. He is survived by his sister, Amber Gaskill, and husband, David, of Fayetteville; brother, Ben Carter, and wife, Cathy, of Fayetteville; nephew, Matthew Trumbo, and wife, Lisa; nieces, Sydney and Alexis Trumbo; and great-nephews, Trenton and Hayes Trumbo. Jerry was a shining light to those who knew and loved him, and to those with whom he came into contact. He never met a stranger. He loved bowling and participating in organized sports through the Special Needs Athletic Program where he also proudly served as the equipment manager. A graveside celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville by Nelson Berna Funeral Home.
