Richard McCaslin Gillham, 67, of Huntsville, peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale. He was born Friday, January 22, 1954, at Russellville to Ralph G. and Martha Ramseur Gillham. Richard married Mari Watson on Saturday, June 1, 1974, at Dardanelle, and together they were parents to one son, Matthew. Richard was a member of Huntsville United Methodist Church where he served as chairman of the Administrative Council for many years. He had been branch manager of Farm Credit Services in Russellville and retired as a loan officer of First National Bank of North Arkansas. He served as president of the local Kiwanis three times and was also a past president of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce. He had served on the board of Ozark Guidance Center and the Office of Human Concern and had a temporary appointment to the Huntsville School Board. He was a member of the Madison County Cattlemen's Association, the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, and the Yell County Wildlife Commission. Richard loved his church, his family and friends, his fellow employees, his farm and cattle, and his community. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, Jack Ryan Gillham. He is survived by his wife, Mari, and his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Haley Gillham. He was "HeeHaw" to grandchildren, Gabby and Canon. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Lucien and Jan Gillham of Sherwood; mother-in-law, Gaye Watson of Fayetteville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Brad Hanson of Pittsburg, Kansas; and was uncle to Luke, Claire, Adam, Abby, and Ali. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home with Brad Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom Peebles, Phil Thompson, Garry Thompson, Jess George, J. T. Mashburn, and Doug Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Huntsville Kiwanis. In lieu of flowers, you may honor Richard with a memorial to the Huntsville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1257, Huntsville, Ark., 72740, or by donation to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 4093 W Sunset Ave, Suite 102, Springdale, Ark., 72762, in honor of his granddaughter, Gabby Gillham. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
