Jeffery D Henry

Jeffery D. Henry, or Jeffy as he was called by most, of Garfield, Ark., passed away on July 24, 2021. He was born March 9, 1978, to Mike and Carol (Polly) Henry and lived his entire life in Garfield. Jeff was a Rogers High School graduate in 1997 and became an official firefighter with NEBCO in 1998, where he remained a dedicated fire man and Deputy Chief until his passing. Jeff owned and operated his own dump trucking company with his dad, Mike, and they would spend many hours working and talking on the phone with each other if they were driving. Jeff and his dad spent a lot of time together working on their dump trucks or working on the farm and when it was dinner time he would call his mom and ask " what are you cookin'"? Jeff was a once in a lifetime kinda guy and friend. He loved his NEBCO fire department family and fellow firefighters; they were his extended family. Jeff loved to fish and spend time with his fishing buddies, Tony Bland, Chance Barlet, Jack Sanders, and Matt Fry and on occasion you could find them up to no good. AJ See and Perry Cypert were also very important people to Jeff and they both had their own special place in Jeff's heart. Jeff is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and June Henry, and LD and Loretta Trotter Jeff is survived by his parents, Mike and Carol Henry (Polly Trotter); and his older brother, Cris Henry, all of Garfield; his sister, Regina Henry (Hesiquio Garcia) of Rogers; and nieces, Destiney, Emily Makayla, and Nikiyah Henry, nephews Trey Gwartney and Jordan Henry; paternal grandmother, Ruth Vanhouden of Garfield; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jeff had many, many friends, colleagues, trucker friends, and the list goes on and on. The following best expresses what we all are feeling about the loss of such a GREAT guy I know you're not here. But I miss you and I didn't get to say goodbye. I love you friend, it was a privilege to know you. You were one of the best humans I ever met and I'm sorry I spent so much time working when we should have been fishing or making moonshine. You're dearly missed, fly high! Save a seat at the bar of us all, we'll see you when we get there! Visitation will be Friday, July 30th, from 5-7 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, located at 1401 Hudson Road, Rogers, Ark. 72756. Jeff's celebration of life will be Saturday 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Garfield located at 17784 Marshall St. Garfield, 72732. Jeffy will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery following his Celebration of life.
