Billie Ruth Tucker

Billie Ruth Tucker, 81, of Hindsville; passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Willard Walker Hospice, Fayetteville. She was born Thursday, November 2, 1939, at Tahlequah; to E F and Jenniev Parnell Thompson. Billie married the love of her life, Vernon Cook Tucker, on Monday, May 16, 1955 at Marble; and together they were parents to three children. They were married 60 years before he passed away in 2015. During their life together, they loved going camping, fishing, and taking long drives. Billie loved her family, and church family at Living Waters Baptist Church, whom she spent so much time with. Billie was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, her parents, three brothers, Harold Thompson, Eugene Thompson, and Randy Thompson; one sister, Sandra Burkhart; and one great-grandson, Holden Whitcomb. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lisa Tucker of Omaha; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Lunning of Rogers; and Kim and Larry James of Hindsville; her siblings, Joann Whiteley of Huntsville, Johnny Lee Thompson of Alabama, and Ronnie Thompson of Tahlequah, Okla.; 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home with Charlie Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Terry Wages, Thomas Reed, Jeremy Hutter, Bill Hughes, Bryan Gabbard, Cash Sizemore, Kiowa Whitcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons. Interment will immediately follow services at Joyce Cemetery, Springdale. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
