John Anthony Duffel

John Anthony Duffel, age 79, of Farmington, Ark., died on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Springdale, Ark., at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born on December 23, 1941, in New Orleans, La., to John Edward and Alice Lacoste Duffel. He was a 1961 graduate of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans. He obtained a Bachelor's degree from LSUNO in 1966 and a Master's degree from LSU Baton Rouge in 1968. His career was spent at the New Orleans Public Library. He loved watching old movies and going to the movies. He was an avid sports fan but particularly followed the L.A. Dodgers and the LSU Tigers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sarah Covington Duffel of Farmington; a daughter, Christy Duffel of Fayetteville; and a very special cousin, Joy Ann Rawls of Slidell, Louisiana; and many other cousins. A private graveside service will be Friday, January 15, 2021, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
