Robert Eugene (Bob) Taylor

Robert Eugene (Bob) Taylor, 85, of Springdale, died December 24, 2021, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born January 15, 1936, in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, to Earl and Helen Martin Taylor. Bob worked for McClinton Anchor until 1984 at which time he started B&D Trucking (operating it until his retirement in 1998). Bob was an avid golfer with 23 holes-in-one. He also was owner of Brush Creek Golf Course in Springdale. Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. They had been to every state including Canada. He was preceded in death by his son, David Taylor and two brothers, Oscar Taylor and John Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Hilton Taylor; his children, Terry Taylor and wife Betty of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Kim Moore husband Clay of Decatur, Texas, Tim Taylor and wife Mila of Saint Anthony, Idaho, Julie Gudenkauf and husband Tim of McPherson, Kan., Cheri Riley of Springdale, and Lonnie Taylor and wife of Sonja of Springdale; daughter-in-law, Lori Taylor of Springdale; his siblings, Alice Vaughn, Sylvia Higgins, Mildred Bone, Bonnie Strode, Pat Edwards, Mary Lou Stout and Albert Taylor; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Mount Comfort Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
