Ronald Gene Humphrey

Ronald Gene Humphrey, entered his eternal home October 31, 2020, at the age of 77 years. Ronald was born April 24, 1943, in Long Beach, Calif., to Joseph E. and Bethene Humphrey, who preceded him in death. He graduated from St. Anthony High School, in Long Beach, in 1962. He proudly served in the US Army in Germany where he met and married the love of his life, Ingrid. They were married for 53 years. Ronald and Ingrid had one daughter, Julie-Ann, who preceded him in death in 2017. He is also preceded in death by his brother Robert. Ronald enjoyed working with people. He had a successful career as store manager in the grocery business in southern Calif. Ronald was an enthusiastic golfer. His hobbies also included building model trains and dollhouses. Gardening and landscaping were another passion he treasured. After his retirement he worked part-time as a real estate agent until 2008. During a visit to the Ozarks in 2008, he and Ingrid fell in love with the Bella Vista area and they moved here in 2010. Ronald is survived by his wife Ingrid (Greuling), his grandsons, Marcus and Daniel, his siblings, Gayle Hamel of Puyallup, Wash., Gary (Brenda) of Glen Haven, Colo., Richard (Jill) of Grand Terrace, Calif., David (Kevin) of Martinez, Calif., and many loving nieces and nephews and their families in the US and Germany. Ronald was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church, in Bella Vista. He will be buried in California at a later date. Due to the pandemic, no services will be held at this time.
