Virginia Sue Ross Mahurin Mitchell

Virginia Sue Ross Mahurin Mitchell, 88 of Centerton, Ark., went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, June 26, 2020, at Apple Creek Health and Rehab in Centerton, Ark. She was born May 28, 1932, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Leo Emery Ross and Max Whitlow Ross. Virginia graduated from Alma High School in 1950 and moved to Bentonville upon marrying James L. Mahurin. She was a member of the Bentonville Community Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed the Razorbacks, arts and crafts, gardening, and being with her family. She was preceded in death by husbands, James L. Mahurin, Kenneth Sooter, and Paul Mitchell; daughter, Suzan Elaine Subbert; son, Leslie James Mahurin; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Michelle Olson (Shawn) of Gravette, a son, Clyde Richard Mahurin of Garfield, a brother Leo Earl Ross of Alma, Ark., nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Bentonville Community Church of the Nazarene, with funeral services immediately following at 11 am with the Rev. Mark Snodgrass. Burial will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. where she will lay in rest with her beloved, James L. Mahurin. Online condolence may be made at rollinsfuneral.com.
