James Thuma

James (Jim) Thuma, age 67 of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Circle of Life Hospice located in Bentonville, Ark. He was born May 10, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Dr. James and Carmen Thuma. He was preceded in death by: his parents, one sister; Laurie Thuma, and one son; Michael Rector. Jim is survived by: his wife of 20 years; Mary Anne Thuma, whom he married December 24, 1999, of Bella Vista, three sons; James "J.J." Thuma, and his wife Beverly of Centerton, Derek Kennemer, and his wife Vickie, of Bella Vista, Keven Rector of Springdale, one daughter; Nikki Wooten and her husband Scooter of Centerton, one brother; John Thuma and his wife Danielle of Florida, three sisters; Lynn Posenke and her husband Floyd, of Republic, Missouri, Leslie Gordon, of Lima, Ohio, Lisa Serrante of New Jersey, 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Growing up in a family who enjoyed the outdoors, Jim loved to play golf early in life, which continued into his later years. Vacations would find him enjoying different Florida beaches, but he was very partial to the beautiful coast of Fort Myers. Jim had many passions, but his number one love was being surrounded by his family and friends. He was very much known for his vivid stories of his adventures that he had experienced throughout his lifetime. A celebration of Jim's life will be Sunday, January 26th at 3 p.m. in the Mildred B.
