Geraldine Buchanan

Geraldine Buchanan, age 96, of Republic, Missouri passed away Thursday April 2, 2020 in Republic, Missouri. She was born May 31, 1923 in Hazen, Arkansas, the daughter of Finis W. and Nora G. Haygood Wheatley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Glen Buchanan. Geraldine enjoyed a marriage of 70 years with her husband Glen. Both spent their careers with the State of California, retired in 1978, and relocated back to Arkansas where they spent the remainder of their married years. She was an avid gardener and had a deep appreciation of what God gave us in nature. Geraldine was a follower of Jesus and was a member of Cross Church in Springdale, Ark. She is survived by her son, Alan Buchanan and his wife Lisa of Republic, Missouri, one brother, Winsford Wheatley and his wife Maria of San Jose, California, one granddaughter, Carley Barton and her husband Josh of Tyler, Texas, and one great-granddaughter, Rose.
