Shelby Shy

Shelby Brooke Buttram Shy, age 38, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at UAMS located in Little Rock. She was born July 1, 1980 in Springdale the daughter of Teresa Jo Cole and Randy Vernon Buttram. She was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas and a graduate of Rogers High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Business Communications, was a member of Pi Beta Phi and a member of The KU Women Swim Team. She enjoyed swimming, Herflower Family, gardening, lake life, spending time in the outdoors, live music, loved life, and loved animals. Mostly above all she loved Her Mom and Dad and her sweet boys Brooks and Coleman. Shelby worked in the family business, Shirley's Flowers for many years, and is Past-President of the Arkansas Florist Association. She served on many councils for Society of American Florist (SAF). She was also a former Buyer for Wal-Mart Stores for many years. In her final years, she was owner and founder of Coleman Brooks Consulting. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Wallace and Hazel Buttram. Shelby is survived by: her parents; Randy and Jo Buttram, of Bella Vista, two sons; Brooks H. Shy, of Bentonville, Coleman W. Shy, of Bentonville, two uncles; Rick Buttram and his wife Jayne, of Rogers, Michael Cole and his wife Kathy, of Kansas City, maternal grandparents; "Grammy" Shirley Cole, of Rogers, Jack Cole of Eureka Springs and partner Clarice Moore, of Rogers, and six cousins; Mance Buttram, Eric Buttram, Heather Knight, Lindsey Cole, Jason Cole, and Dylan Cole. A celebration of Shelby's life will be: Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:30 Pm at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks located at 4703 North Crossover Road Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703.
