Rex Clinton Harper

Rex Clinton Harper, 84, of Gentry, Arkansas, died March 19, 2019 at Quail Ridge Living Center, West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. Born February 7, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma he was the son of Clint Harper and Dessia Weston Harper. Rex was a lifetime resident of Gentry and married Shirley Chamberlain on August 16, 1956. He was a poultry farmer and enjoyed hunting deer and fishing. Rex attended First Baptist Church of Gentry. He served our country in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry. Survivors include his wife, Shirley of the home; sons, Keith Harper and wife Georgia of Gentry, Arkansas and Wendell Harper of Bentonville, Arkansas; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Harper of Gentry, Arkansas and sister, Helena Harper of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019, at First Baptist Church, Gentry, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery, Gentry, Arkansas.
