John Thomas McPherson

John Thomas McPherson, 75 of Maysville, Ark., passed away Friday, March 8, 2019. John was born in Van Nuys, CA on February 9, 1944 to Truman and Ramona (Martin) McPherson. He was a graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably in Thailand during Vietnam. On September 4, 1971 he was united in marriage to Cathryn Fleer and together they raised three children. John was a very giving man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He was also a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Survivors include his wife Cathryn of the home, children: Gerald McPherson and wife Yohanna, Richard McPherson and wife Julie, and Sherry McPherson all of Maysville, Ark., one brother Clifford McPherson and wife Wanda of Sulphur Springs, Ark., and five grandchildren: Kimberly McPherson, Brandon McPherson, Jonathan McPherson, Mason Sierks, and Christian Sierks. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Worley Luginbuel Chapel with services starting at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Olympus North Cemetery in Grove.  Online condones may be made at www.honoringmemories.com or on the Worley Luginbuel Facebook page.
