William Glen DePriest

William Glen DePriest, age 87 went to be with the lord on Saturday, July 13, 2019. He was born September 22, 1931 in Paragould, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jo Depriest; his parents, William and Thelma DePriest; sister, Majorie Kuykendall and two brothers, Robert DePriest and Albert DePriest. Survivors include: sons, Danny and wife Cindy DePriest of Rogers, Ark. and Darrell and wife Ginger DePriest of Fulton, Mo.; granddaughter, Kristan DePriest; step-granddaughter, Dana Murphy; grandsons, Derek DePriest and wife Heather, Ryan DePriest and wife Tai; step-grandsons, Jared Wilhite and Justin Wilhite and nine great-grandchildren. Glen's career included almost 40 years of service with Ely and Walker Garment Company. Along the way, making lifelong friends in Monterey, Tenn., Canton, Miss. and Heber Springs, Ark. before returning home to Paragould, Ark. After a short retirement, he accepted the position of City Building Inspector for the City of Paragould. Retiring a second time after 10 years of service. In 2012, he and Betty moved to Rogers, Ark. Some of Glen's favorite pastimes included travels with his wife and friends, fishing with his sons, visiting with family and friends, and any project that came to mind. Services will be held at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould, Ark. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 18th, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19th at 10 a.m. with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating.
