Harvey Stuart Henning, 82, of Bella Vista was called to his heavenly home on August 17, 2019. Harvey was born July 3, 1937 in Detroit, Mich., to Kenneth and Ruth (Comrie) Henning. He was raised on his family farm in Napoleon, Mich., and graduated from Napoleon High School in 1955. Harvey was an all-state running back who forewent athletic scholarships, to proudly serve in the United States Navy. Upon completing his service in the Navy, Harvey attended a few years of college at the University of Michigan before finally deciding to enter the skilled trades. For the next 30 years he worked as a Millwright Superintendent. Upon retirement, Harvey moved to Northwest Arkansas where he enjoyed fishing on Beaver Lake, playing cards, chess, backgammon, tennis, and shooting pool with his family and friends. Those who knew him well, described him as "quite the character." He was smart, quick-witted, funny, competitive, strong-willed, and supportive. He will be missed by those who loved him. Harvey is survived by his children: Harvey Henning II of Rose City, Mich. and Kristy Henning of Bella Vista, Ark.; his brother, Kenneth Henning of Long Island, N.Y.; his sister, Elizabeth O'Leary of Valparaiso, Ind.; his two grandsons: Isaac and Moe Henning; and his faithful dog, Molly Dolly. Arrangements: Epting Funeral Home. Condolences: www.eptingfuneralhome.webs.com.
