Greg Caldwell

GREG CALDWELL, born in 1964 to Allen and Joan Caldwell in Globe, Ariz., spent his early childhood moving among American Indian reservations in four states while his father worked for BLM. He joined the Army at 18 and became a Green Beret with the 1st Special Forces Group, rising to the rank of Sergeant. In his mid-20s, he met and married Theresa West Harmon and became an instant father to her three children, Mackalynn (Harmon) Davidson, Kyle Harmon, and Heath Harmon. For the next 26 years, he worked as a national territory representative within the telecom industry. Together with his wife Theresa, he shared many laughs; boating adventures; worldwide travel; very close connections to their neighbors, friends, and church families; six boisterous grandchildren; and the trials of battling high-risk myeloma for seven years. With the help of wonderful friends, family, and a cadre of UAMS staff who became like family, Greg made the most of his remaining time, exuding his warmth and humor until his very last hour. He is survived by his wife Theresa Caldwell of Little Rock, Ark.; children Mackalynn (Chris) Davidson of Nashville, Tenn., Kyle Harmon of Bentonville, Ark., and Heath Harmon (Aubrey) of Louisville, Ky.; mother Joan Caldwell of Baker, Mont.; sisters Caren (Dean) Hass of Jamestown, N.D., and Melanie (Delbert) Espinosa of Baker, Mont. He is also remembered by his nephews and nieces, with special thanks to Kenneth Camron Espinosa for critical blood donations during his treatment.
