David Duane Ward, 80, of Lowell, passed away in Rogers on September 20, 2018. He was born February 9, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to James and Anna Covell Ward. He worked for the State of Arizona in the Workman's Comp Division. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the Bishopric, High Priest group leader, and a Boy Scout Master. He enjoyed driving a special needs school bus, he loved all the children he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Ward II and son Ronny Lynn Ward. Survivors include his wife Susan Ward of 55 years; son Ricky Duane Ward (Debbie) of Bentonville; three daughters, Heidi Pace (Rodney) of Lowell; Holly Laughton (Gene) of Nevada; Lisa Vyles (George) of Colorado; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister DeAnna Franzen (Jeff) of Idaho; sister in law, Linda Elmore (Jerry) of Huntsville; six nephews and four nieces. Funeral services will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2805 N. Dixieland Rd. in Rogers on Wednesday, September 26 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Hickory Creek Cemetery.
