Annireen (Ann) Busby Shaw, age 95, departed for heaven while surrounded by family and friends singing "It Is Well with My Soul" on Tuesday Sept. 11, 2018 in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born Dec. 22, 1922 in Reform, Miss., the daughter of Meek and Mae (Wheat) Busby. She was the widow of Harvey Lee Shaw Sr., to whom she was married for 54 years. Ann was a homemaker who raised three children and loved to garden, sew and harvest pecans. She perfected Thanksgiving dinner with roasted turkey, cornbread dressing, pecan pie and coconut cake. She blessed her family with an array of quilts, satin pillow cases, and birthday cards each year. She was one of the last surviving World War II Rosie the Riveters. She is survived by son Harvey Lee Shaw Jr. and wife Libby of Memphis, Tenn., daughter Jamie Shaw Snider of Fayetteville, Ark., and son John Fred Shaw and wife Beverly of Hagerman, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at the Antioch Community Church in Ackerman, Miss., on Sept. 29, 2018 with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery.
