Tommy Lee Baker, 79, of Springdale, passed away peacefully Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home. He was born August 5, 1939 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Jeff and Mittie Flora (Farmer) Baker. Tommy was known for his sense of humor and the tremendous love he had for his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan and especially devoted to the Razorbacks and New England Patriots. If his television was on he was watching either football of baseball. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and watching all of their activities. Tommy served in the Army and was first a truck driver and then a dispatcher with Willis Shaw Express retiring after 46 years. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Boudrey and husband Tim of Farmington, Lori Smith and husband Kip of Springdale; a sister, Peggy Brewer of Cave Springs; a brother, Jeffery Baker and wife Debby of Elm Springs; a sister-in-law, Linda Baker Gorman of Jane, Missouri; five grandchildren, Blake, Logan, Spencer, Jordan, Kole; the mother of his daughters, Marcia Baker of Springdale; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Tommy was preceded in death by two brothers, John and J.W. Baker; two sisters, Marie Bunch and Mary Holmes; two brothers-in-law, Fred Bunch and Linden Brewer; a sister-in-law, Helen Baker; and an infant grandson. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, online obituary and guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
