Anna Laura Dinkel

Anna Laura Dinkel died September 13th at 94 years. She was born on November 19, 1923 in Lucas County Hospital to Ancil and Myrtle Whitlatch. She attended schools in Lucas County Iowa and graduated from Chariton High School in Iowa. She was married January 9, 1943 to Jack Dinkel of Chariton in Boston, Mass. They lived in 16 different homes during their marriage of 76 years. She loved to play golf and socializing with friends. She retired as a supervisor at the Kansas Insurance Department in Topeka, Kan. She is survived by her husband, sons Stephen ( Ronni) of Lee's Summit, Mo., Scott ( Felicia) of Brooklyn, N.Y., grandchildren, Robin Norman of Eureka, Mo., Holly O'Connor of Lompoc, Calif., Alessia Dinkel of Washington, DC, Emily Dinkel of Brooklyn and Gregory Dinkel of Jacksonville, Fla., three step-grandchildren, Jill DeBok of Olathe, Kan., Tim and Paula Stork of Lee's Summit and Greg and Carol Stork of Troy, Mo., four great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a contribution to Shriner's Children's Hospitals would be appreciated. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers, Ark.
