Funeral services for Mr. David Coy "Davey, Rocket Man" Cook II and Mrs. Lanna Marie (Townsend) Cook will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Bradley Baptist Church, with Mr. Greg Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley Arkansas, under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes, Inc. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thomas Street, in Stamps, Arkansas, also on Monday, beginning at noon until service time at the Bradley Baptist Church. Mr. Cook, age 60, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born March 31, 1958 in Lewisville, Ark. to David Coy and Thomasene (Jester) Cook. Mrs. Cook, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born February 5, 1958 in Kansas City, Mo. to Herbert and Mary Lois (Walker) Townsend. Mr. and Mrs. Cook were members of the Bella Vista Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling. Mr. Cook enjoyed shooting rockets and guns, music, flying drones, and being around people. He sang and played guitar in a band called Bootleg. Mrs. Cook loved being pretty, scrapbooking, taking pictures, and spoiling her grandchildren. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents. Mrs. Cook was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Troy Lee Townsend. They are survived by a son, Coy Cook and his wife Shelby, of Bentonville, Ark.; and two grandchildren, Hailey Cook and Grayson Cook. Mr. Cook is also survived by two brothers, Mark Wayne Cook and wife Terry, of Bowling Green, Ky., and Danny Joe Cook and wife Jenny, of Texarkana, Ark.; a nephew, Remmington Carson Cook; and nieces, Claire Beth Breithaupt, Caroline Cook and Shannon Marie Cook. Mrs. Cook is also survived by a brother, Kenneth Townsend and wife Mary of Cassville, Mo.; and a sister, Cathy Townsend of Washburn, Mo.; two uncles, Connie Walker and wife Clois, of Bentonville, Ark. and Onie Walker and wife Sue of Pearidge, Ark.; and special aunt, Shirley Jane Wommack of Bentonville, Ark. To my heart transplant brothers, Charles Hatfield, Dennis Divittorio, Don Glenn, Habib Eslami, Tyron Brisby, Mike Noland, Wendy Osborne. I Love Yall, Rocket Man. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Patel, Dr. Yipp, Dr. Lebni, Dr. Hosenpud, and the entire staff of Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. for the love and compassion shown to Rocket man and the family over the years. Even after his death, Mr. Cook continued to DONATE LIFE. Honoring Mr. and Mrs. Cook as pallbearers will be Coy Cook, Mark Cook, Danny Joe Cook, Randy Hornbeck, Tim Whisenhunt, Kenneth Townsend, and Charles Short.
