Dean L Amos

Dean L. Amos, 93, of Decatur, Arkansas, died September 5, 2018, at Apple Creek Health and Rehab, in Centerton, Arkansas. Born February 1, 1925, in Decatur, Arkansas, he was the son of Lester Amos and Mabel Chambers Amos. Dean was a life long resident of Decatur and married Sylvia Hutton Dill on July 22, 1995. He was a cattle rancher and was active on the farm until he was 91. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, his first wife, Betty Foster, his second wife, Pat Bilbe, and grandson, Brian. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia of the home; sons, Harvey Amos and wife Nancy of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, Lester Amos and wife Cheryl of Decatur, Arkansas; Clark Amos of Decatur, Arkansas, Jerald Amos and wife Connie of Colcord, Oklahoma and Merrill Amos of Colcord, Oklahoma; daughters, Marilyn Gosnell and husband Don of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Carolyn Mercer and husband Ray of Bentonville, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas.
