Holly JoAnn Pedersen, 43, of Siloam Springs, died Sunday, Aug. 26. She was born Dec. 8, 1974, at Columbus, Ohio, to Donald Bondo Pedersen and Audrey Ramona Johnson Pedersen. She attended Columbus, Ohio, public schools, graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1993 and was attending the University of Arkansas as a full time graduate student. She had also operated the Pedersen Funding Company, an online finance business. Holly enjoyed family activities, especially with her son Dillon, and had a great spirit of adventure. She jumped out of airplanes, swam with dolphins and loved to travel. She went to Rome with Dillon, went zip-lining in Costa Rica, attended Spanish immersion sessions in Mexico, and went skydiving twice with Dillon. She was a competitive pole dancer and had a great interest in physical health and nutrition. She was a compassionate and zealous activist on behalf of animals and showed the same enthusiasm for the preservation of our environment. She attended several Buddist retreats in France, Costa Rica and had great interest in meditation. She is preceded in death by her precious and much loved only child, Dillon Kalub Jones, who was born March 30, 1995 and died July 28, 2018. Holly is survived by her parents of Pea Ridge; five siblings, Ted Pedersen (Ayda) of Duluth, Minn., Barbara Harmon (Wesley), Paula Pedersen, Donna Davis (Jason), and Roger Pedersen all of Fayetteville; eight nephews and nieces; five grand-nephews and nieces as well as many close friends, members of the Kalub Jones family; special friends Kimberly Jackson and John Giannone, and others who loved and admired her. Memorial service is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with Rev. Dr. Scott Stewart officiating.
