Donald Owen (Don) Williams

Donald Owen (Don) Williams, age 91, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born Nov. 10, 1926 in Schubert, Neb., to John W. Williams and Cleo (Short) Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife Jessie (Bullington) Williams; his parents John and Cleo Williams and four brothers, Max, George, Gary and Tommy Williams. He was a member of Miller Community Church in Bentonville, where he lived most of his life. He was a World War II Navy veteran on a Troop Transport Ship. He was in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese surrendered. He is survived by his three children, Linda Stacy and husband Jim of Springdale, Bob Williams and wife Cheree of Ozark, Missouri and Jerry Williams and wife Jill of Fayetteville; two sisters, Kathryn Graham of Rogers and Lois Burgess of Ft. Smith; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many, many friends. Don lived a life of hard work, integrity, kindness and generosity. He lived out his Christian faith and was loved and respected by all. Memorials may be made to Miller Community Cemetery Fund, c/o Ramona Crabtree, 2005 Oakwood, Bentonville, Ark. 72712. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
