Ruthie Marie Burgess Smith

Ruthie Marie Burgess Smith, 36, of Fayetteville, was born on September 8, 1982 in Madison County, Arkansas to Robert and Marsha Smith Burgess. She unexpectedly passed away on October 24, 2018 at 4:01 PM at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas due to complications during childbirth. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Thomas Burgess and beloved stepmother, Ruth Lilian Sessions. She attended Prairie Grove High School and went to the University of Arkansas and was working on a degree in education. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught at Prism Education Center. She was a beloved wife and mother to 5 beautiful children. She is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Smith; children, Mollie, Tadd, Evie, Reagan and Baby Burgess; a niece, Alexa; brothers, Robert D., Burgie, Thomas, Robert T., Martin and Chandler Burgess; her sisters, Bobbi Scogin, Annette Williams, Lois Hassell, Ella Coffy and Bethra Flowers; and many other nieces and nephews. Ruthie was a natural mother and teacher and loved children. She loved her church and her family, most of all. The ripple effect of her love and selflessness spread far and wide. She is loved and will truly be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fayetteville.
