Rogers businessman, Bobby Burks Lawson, 69, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018. A life-long resident of Rogers, Bobby was born July 30, 1949, to Mary Marvene Brown Lawson and the late Johnny Floyd Lawson, who preceded him. Survivors include his mother; his brother, Jerry Lawson of Rogers; a nephew, Brad Lawson; his wife, Anne and their children, Rebecca, Emma, and John; numerous extended family members; professional colleagues and dear friends. His love of cars began at an early age… as did his career. While still a student at Rogers High School, he began working after school and during the summer for his father in the family business, Rogers Body Shop. After high school, he attended the University of Arkansas briefly before returning to full-time work at Rogers Body Shop. Over the years, he restored and built several collectable and racing cars. He also enjoyed flying and logged time in the air as a pilot whenever he could. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., tomorrow, October 28 at Rogers Body Shop, 218 N 1st St in Rogers. A Graveside Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2018 at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Garfield. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
