Ronald Fletcher Hamilton

Ronald Fletcher Hamilton of Bella Vista, Ark. went to be with the Lord October 23, 2018. He was born in Bastrop, La., November 14, 1946, to Fletcher Mayo Hamilton and Helen Camden Hamilton. He was raised on a rice farm in Lonoke County, Ark. and later Bastrop, La., moving to Houston, Texas his senior year in high school. He attended Lee College, University of Houston and University of Arkansas plus earned a real estate license and broker's license. His working career included many professions and he was extremely proficient with computers. From 1980 to 1983, he was CEO of Turmeric Ltd. in Great Yarmouth, U.K. where 100 employees manufactured oil derricks and 200 employees were sent out to service the oil drilling platforms in the North Sea. He made one trip behind the Iron Curtin, to Bulgaria. The last 19 years he was self-employed and traveled extensively. Ron served in the Texas Army National Guard and U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was a private pilot and a sailor. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deborah Heaton. He is survived by his wife, Reta Hamilton, Bella Vista; sons, Randall (Patsy) Keef, Austin, Texas, Richard (Sherry) Keef, Midway, Texas; Goddaughter, Madeleine Horn and her special parents, Richard and Miriam Lietz, Dublin, Calif.; grandchildren, David (Lauren) Keef, The Woodlands, Texas, Catherine Cartwright, Boulder, Colo., Allen Paul Keef, Boulder, Colo.; great-granddaughters, Victoria Cartwright and Emily Keef; sister-in-law, Sharon Eulert, Topeka, Kan. and many nieces and nephews in Texas and Kansas. Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 27, 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kan. No flowers please.
