James Henry Cox, 75, of Springdale, Arkansas, was promoted to his Big Rig in the sky, October 20, 2018. He was born September 13, 1943 in Hobart, Oklahoma, the son of the late Thurman and Ovie Rogers Cox. James was a veteran truck driver of 40 years beginning his career at Willis Shaw Express in 1969 and ending at Tyson Foods in 2008. After retiring he spent his time doing small engine repair and leaving a lifelong impression on everyone he met. He was the hardest worker you had ever met. He loved Alan Jackson and John Wayne, but most all he loved his family. James was preceded in death by his wife Carylon Cox in 2012, his sister, Mary Lou and brother, Wayne. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Snodgrass and husband Mark, Jamie Faubus and husband Doyle; brothers, John Cox, Delbert Cox, Vernon Cox and wife Ruth; sisters, Nadine Cox, Virginia Markley and husband Kenny, Marie Dennis and husband Ralph, Erma Keele and husband Jack; sister-in-law, Pam Bohannan and husband Don; brother-in-law, David Clark; grandchildren, Karissa Rudsell and husband Victor, James Hutchens, Meghann Faubus; great-grandchildren, Layne Rudsell, Logan Rudsell; three step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. James also leaves behind a host of friends and millions of memories. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Pastor Kyle Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
