Billye Sue Wilkins Monk

Billye Sue Wilkins Monk, 89, formerly of Little Rock and Hope, died peacefully in Bolivar, Mo., October 
13, 2018. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Monk. She was a school teacher for many 
years, and her passion was teaching children to read. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Becki) and Mark Alderfer, of Bolivar, Mo.; and Barbara and 
Les Claybrook, of Texarkana, Ark. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert Claybrook of New 
Orleans, La.; Garrett and Jennifer Alderfer, of Bolivar, Mo.; Jeffrey and Chelsea Claybrook of Texarkana, 
Ark.; and Kathryn and Gary Borchardt, of Bird Creek, Alaska; and her great-granddaughters, Piper Claybrook; 
Sophie and Maggie Alderfer. A graveside service is planned for the spring at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot. In lieu of flowers, the 
family requests memorials to Christ Episcopal Church of Little Rock or a favorite charity.
