Dale "Sting" Stingley, age 83, of Goshen passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018. He was born March 5, 1935 in Boswell, Oklahoma the son of Leon Alfred and Josephine Barker Stingley. Major Stingley was a retired officer and pilot of the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam veteran with multiple tours of duty, awarded many decorations including the Distinguished Flying Cross. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he earned an MBA from the University of Arkansas. He subsequently began work at the U of A Computing Services Department, eventually becoming the Director of Production. Among his many volunteer endeavors, Dale initiated the creation of the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department, and coached youth baseball. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Richard and Byron, and granddaughter Kyla. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday October 15, 2018 with Funeral Service starting at 10:00 a.m. at Moore's Chapel. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full military honors.
