John Carl Thompson, 78 of Lowell, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born in Metalton, Arkansas on October 29, 1940. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, siblings and grandson Lucas Daniel White. He married the love of his life, Forestina (Tiny) Mulkey Thompson on March 12, 1959 in Springdale, Arkansas. He worked eighteen years for Foremost Dairy, six years for Rolsten Purina, and thirteen years for Cargill before retiring. He helped to start the Hickory Creek Fire Department and volunteered for many years. He enjoyed farming, camping and spending time with his kids, grand kids and great-grand kids. He was survived by his wife Forestina (Tiny) Thompson of the home; two children, Carola and husband Dan White of Berryville, Ark., and Russell and wife Therese Thompson of Cave Springs, Ark.; his 5 grandchildren, Tiffany (Danny) Campbell of Lowell, Ark., Dustin (Megan) Lawrence of West Fork, Ark., John J. (Bria) Thompson of Cave Springs, Ark., and Emily Thompson of Cave Springs, Ark., Jake (Chio) White of Richmond, Va.; and 6 great grandchildren, Lucas and Draven Swan of Lowell, Ark., Lily, Mayson and Elliana Lawrence of West Fork, Ark., and Ella Thompson of Cave Springs, Ark. Pallbearers will be Draven Swan, John (JJ) Thompson, Steve Thompson, David Schoen, Dustin Lawrence, and Jeff Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lucas Swan, Mayson Lawrence, Danny Campbell and Richard Blaschke. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Westfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Earlene Howard Hospice House at Circle of Life Hospice.
